Requirement is below.

Required Skills: Minimum Requirements

At least 3 years of software development experience
•      Minimum 3 years experience using Java
•      Java Swing experience
•      Experience with Test-Driven Development strongly preferred Agile RUP  methodology
•      Minimum 3 years OO analysis and design experience using Design Patterns and UML. At least 2 years of experience using an OO Modeling tool such as Rational Rose or Together.
•      Past experience with XML Parsing (using DOM or SAX)
•      Experience with a software development Agile Methodology
•      Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
•      Enthusiastic contributor with a real "go-getter, can-do" attitude who things proactively and delivers high quality software.
•      Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Preferred Requirements (these are not required but would be nice to have):
•      Experience with Test-Driven Development strongly preferred
•      Experience with developing in an FDA-regulated environment strongly preferred
•      Experience with OO Databases such as Poet/FastObjects
•      MS in Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering
•      A background or degree in Microbiology or biology is highly preferred

Scott Stanlick

Scott Stanlick has worked in IT shops ranging in size from a few million to many billions of dollars in revenue for over fifteen years.  This provided him the unique opportunity to see how specialization and staffing can be both beneficial and wasteful.  He has been engaged in software projects that leveraged prevailing technologies affording me to remain on the forward edge of the industry.

He enjoys technology and stays involved at many levels. Recently, Scott co-authored a book for Manning publishing as a way to participate in the public side of technology sharing.

He is currently working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a software architect, designing and implementing SOA solutions integrating Alamo, National, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car systems.

December 2008 Topic: Struts 2.0

What if you are no longer the person everyone calls the Struts guru? How do you quickly become the Struts 2 expert you know you can be? Luckily, you can take the first step by attending the Gateway JUG meeting on December 2nd!

With Struts being the most popular Java web framework in the industry today, IT shops are excited to hit the ground running with this next generation web framework. This session will provide a primer for Struts Classic developers needing a Struts 2 head start. We will compare and contrast Struts 2 to its predecessor and highlight the areas where Struts 2 breaks away from the past and blazes new trails into Ajax, validations, plug-in architecture and the interceptor architecture that allow nearly infinite flexibility. This session will transition your expert status to the new Struts before anyone realizes your confidence was ever shaken!
